Marvin W. Kelsey, 77, of Loyalsock Township went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 18, 2013. Marv spent the last few days at the Gatehouse, surrounded by his family. Marv was born May 6, 1936, in New Berlin, N.Y. His parents Rosalie and Charles Kelsey preceded him in death.
Marv proudly served in the Army for six years and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. It was at this time that he met and married the love of his life the former Waltraut (Trudy) Thode in Flensburg, Germany. Marv and Trudy were married for 57 wonderful years and as Marv told her during his last days that he could not have asked for a better wife. After serving in the Army, Marv went to work for Westinghouse and then Litton Industries where he retired after 32 years of service. Marv also held many different positions in the churches he attended over the years. The most important thing to Marv was that he was a good Christian man and he showed that by the loving care he provided for his wife, children and grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Marv was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Tully of New Jersey.

Marv is survived by his wife Trudy; daughters Lisa Titus of Jersey Shore, and Darcie (Gary) Glick of Linden; and grandchildren Ethan and Emilie Titus of Jersey Shore. Marv is also survived by his sister, Beverly McDermott, and brother, Donald Kelsey, both from Theresa, N.Y.
Friends and family members are welcomed to attend a visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. on June 22, 2013, at New Life Church in Pennsdale, Pa. A memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made to the National Parkinson's Foundation, Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 5018, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5018, or the Gatehouse Hospice Unit, 1100 Grampian Blvd #4S, Williamsport, PA 17701 in Marv's name.
