Loretta M. McKittrick, 82, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on June 9, 2013, at Arbor Terrace in Austell, Ga.
Born on February 18, 1931, in Jersey Shore, Loretta was the daughter of Roy and Ellen (Frye) Bartges. She was blessed with one sibling, a brother Donald Bartges. Residing in Woolrich, she was a graduate of Jersey Shore High School where she was a member of the Future Homemakers of America Club. In 1955 she married her lifetime love, Robert McKittrick, in Woolrich, and they began their life together living in Harrisburg. She was employed by Sylvanina and Carey McFall in the past.
Loretta was a longtime resident of Loyalsock Township, where she enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens. She was known for her cooking and baking, often sharing kitchen treats with friends and neighbors. Along with her cooking, she also enjoyed crafts such as needle punch and ceramics.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, 2011, and her brother Donald, 2007.
Loretta is survived by her son, Don McKittrick and daughter-in-law Regina McKittrick of Douglasville, Ga.; granddaughter, Carissa McKittrick and grandson Dylan McKittrick both of Douglasville, Ga.
A memorial service will be held later this year for both Loretta and Robert with interment at Greenlawn Cemetary, Montgomery. Announcement to follow.
