MANSFIELD - Openings are still available for Mansfield University Baseball Camps. The camps will be giving inspiring young baseball players a chance to better their skills and have fun at the same time. All camps provide overnight accommodations and meals as well as commuter options.
The campers will stay in the new Hickory Residence Hall overlooking Shaute Field. Oak opened last year featuring four styles of suites to choose from, including individual bathrooms, individually controlled air conditioning, cable TV and high speed wireless. Coach Harry Hillson said, "These improvements give us one of the best environments to host a summer baseball camp in the country".
There are individual week long overnight sessions for players ages 7 to 18 from July 14 through 18. The camp has an emphasis on player development and features daily guest lectures, game competition and intensified individual instruction with five different age divisions to challenge any level of player.
If you're looking for a shorter stay, the Elite Weekend Specialty Camps provide intensified instruction in pitching, catching or hitting. Elite Weekend Specialty Camps from July 12 through 14 for ages 7 to 18.
The popular Father/ Son Weekend Camp for ages 8 to 14 runs from July 12 through 14. During the weekend, fathers and sons attend camp together and work on drills and techniques of the games.
