Edmund L. Robey Jr. 84, of Montoursville, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2013, at The Gatehouse.
He was born March 1, 1929, in West Nanticoke, the son of Edmund L. and Anna Markowski Robey.
Edmund was a Korean War Army Veteran and retired from the former GTE Sylvania as a draftsman. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, the Eugene Grafius American Legion Post No. 104, and the DuBoistown VFW Post No. 7863. Edmund enjoyed fishing and gardening.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Mary M. Smith and a sister, Dorothy Gillis.
Edmund is survived by two sons, Wesley L. (Barbara) of South Williamsport and Brant E. of Muncy; two daughters, Deborah J. (Howard) Edkin of Hughesville and Diane M. Detato of Montoursville; two sisters, Theresa Schmidt of Chicago, Ill. and Loraine Frace of Levittown; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass service will be celebrated 9 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 100 Walnut St., Montoursville. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County. A luncheon will follow the graveside service at the Montoursville American Legion.
