Mildred L. Durrwachter, 87, of 1900 Ravine Road, died on Monday, June 24, 2013, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center. Her husband Jack Durrwachter passed away on Nov. 6, 2009.
She was born on Oct. 30, 1925, in Williamsport and was the daughter of Max and Helen Johnson Jetter.
Mildred was a 1943 graduate of Williamsport High School and attended Temple Hospital Nursing School. She worked as a medical secretary for Dr. Robert Durrwachter. She was a member of Faxon-Kenmar United Methodist Church, Loyalsock Lioness Club, and The Women's Club of Williamsport.
She is survived by two sons, Raymond Durrwachter, Ala. and Bryan Durrwachter, South Williamsport; one daughter, Kathy Durrwachter, Williamsport; a step-sister, Jane Stindt, Calif.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2013, in Faxon-Kenmar United Methodist Church, 1301 Clayton Ave., Williamsport, with Reverend Michael Swimley officiating.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Twin Hills Memorial Park.
Family will provide the flowers and suggests that memorial contributions in Mildred's name be made to Faxon-Kenmar United Methodist Church, 1301 Clayton Ave., Williamsport, or to Children's Development Center, 625 W. Edwin St., Williamsport.
