Clyde M. Thompson II, of South Williamsport, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at The Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
Born Oct. 10, 1945, at Williamsport, he was the son of Clyde M. and Betty J. Dershem Thompson.
Clyde had proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He was a graduate of the South Williamsport Area High School, Class of 1963, and had also attended Lock Haven State Teachers College, now Lock Haven University.
Clyde was a member of the Lycoming County Young Mens Republican Club, the Keystone League, and the White Deer Golf club.
Clyde enjoyed golfing.
He had been employed by Lycoming County and Macy's.
He and his wife, the former Judy Stahl, were married June 21, 1969. Together they shared 44 years of marriage.
Surviving are his wife, Judy Thompson, of South Williamsport; his daughter, Tina Amoroso, and her husband, Joseph Reighard, of Trout Run; his sons, Matthew A. Thompson, of Washington, D.C., and Adam P. Thompson, of South Williamsport; his sister, Mary (Branch) Biddle, of Hughesville;three grandchildren, Kyle Reighard, Abbey Reighard and Ben Reighard. He is also survived by his mother, Betty Thompson, and two nieces and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his late father, Clyde M. Thompson.
In keeping with Clyde's wishes, there will be no visitation and no services.
