Emilio Guido Caravaggio, 82, a resident of Loyalsock Township, died Wednesday July 10, 2013, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Fossacesia, Italy on July 6, 1931, a son of Camillo and Irena Bianco Caravaggio.
Emilio was a member of the Church of St. Ann. He retired from Bethlehem Steel and had served in the Italian Army for two years in the area of Rimini and Venice Italy.
He and his wife Grazietta "Grace" celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on Oct. 25, 2012. Surviving in addition to his wife, are a son, Steven and his wife Susan Burch Caravaggio; a daughter, Rosanna Caravaggio and a granddaughter, Anna Grace Caravaggio all of Williamsport.
Three brothers, Domenico, Guerino and Donato and a sister, Annina all preceded him in death. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews residing in Italy.
The family will receive friends at the Crouse Funeral Home, 133 E. Third St., Williamsport from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Church of St. Ann, 1220 Northway Road, Williamsport, Pa., with his pastor Rev. Paul C. Fontanella officiating, followed by burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Montoursville.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Memorial Program, 5455 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43214 or The Church of St. Ann.
