Marine Corps League to hold meeting
The Williamsport Detachment Marine Corps League will be holding their monthly detachment meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, at the Detachment Headquarters, 507 Cemetery St.
The meeting is open to active duty and honorably discharged marines and navy corpsmen.

Quilters Guild meeting
PENNSDALE - The Susquehanna Valley Quilters Guild will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at Pennsdale United Methodist Church, 658 Village Road.

Also include the animal's statistics and any interesting facts, history, tricks or "tales" about your pet.
Installation of new officers will be held during the meeting. A "Margo Handbag" workshop will be held on July 20. Supply list is available on the guild's website. Seats are still available. Homemade Ice Cream Social
NAUVOO - St. Paul United Methodist Church will sponsor a homemade ice cream social at 5 pm. Friday at the New Linck Schoolhouse, Nauvoo.
They will be serving ice cream, pies, sloppy joes, hot dogs, sundaes, banana splits and beverages.

Dance party benefit
SELINSGROVE - 94KX will host an 80s and 90s dance party to benefit the Children's Miracle Network from 8 p.m. to midnight July 19 the Front Street Station.
There will be a fee at the door. One hundred percent of the cover fee will benefit Children's Miracle Network at Geisinger.
The funds raised by this event will help to provide pediatric equipment, programs and services at Janet Weis Children's Hospital and throughout Geisinger Health System.

First United Methodist Church, will hold a Blessing of the Pets ceremony 10 a.m. Saturday.
The ceremony will be held outside in the fountain area at Market and Packer Streets (if there is inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved inside).
This event marks the beginning of the Hearts, Hands, and Paws ministry of the church.
All well-behaved pets and their owners are welcome.
All pets must be securely leashed or in a carrier (flexi-leads are not advised for this ceremony).
Anyone who cannot bring their pet, or who feels that their pet would not enjoy the short ceremony, are welcome to bring a picture of their pet instead.
