I was appalled at an article in regards to Memorial Park Pool. The woman stated "If Memorial pool isn't reopened, crime will spike in that neighborhood of the city". Is she serious? People need to take responsibility for their own actions and not blame others for why they do what they do and accept responsibility for their own choices. People committing crimes don't care about others. And because they don't care, it affects all.
Bad behavior is in no way rewarded. Swimming has no bearing on crime and ignorance. People committing these crimes make conscious choices to do things. People need to learn to be respectful, law-abiding, and productive citizens. Swimming has nothing to do with that. Bad choices or behaviors are not rewarded. So for her to make such a statement is ridiculous!
