BRADFORD - Despite two rain delays in the game scheduled before Keystone's Little League Major Baseball state tournament game Monday evening, Keystone's game started in what could only be summed up as a complete mess.
As the rain continued to fall, picking up a times and making it hard to see, Keystone opened the first inning Monday evening vs. Clarion with two quick runs.
The game was eventually suspended, and will be picked up today at 4 p.m. in the middle of the second inning.
Aaron Swartz gave up a single to open the bottom half of the first inning, but then got the next three batters out to preserve Keystone's two-run advantage.
The rain picked up in the second, which made it difficult to grip the ball. Three Keystone batters were hit as a result before umpires suspended the game.
