Edward Joseph Bremme, 60, of 1452 W. Fourth St., died July 23, 2013, at home. He was born in Philadelphia on Nov. 3, 1952, the son of Charles E. and Mary Cohn Bremme.
He was a member of the Christian Church at Cogan Station. Ed was employed by Valley Towing and Trucking. He was a devoted member and trusted servant of Narcotics Anonymous for 24 years, during which time he helped many to find a new way of life. He was very respected by Judge Nancy Butts and all the adult probation officers for his dedication and work within the treatment community.
Ed was a loving husband and father. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, the former Melody Ann Nicol; his children, Mary Allen and Nikki Craig; his two step-daughters, Melody Marie Baldissero and Michele Braksator. Also surviving are his eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, as well as a brother and sisters Marie Zoltek, Peggy Moringstar and Robert Charles Bremme. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and two brothers, Charles and Joseph Bremme.

A memorial service will be held at the Christian Church at Cogan Station, 5904 Lycoming Creek Road, Williamsport, on Aug. 24, 2013, at 11 a.m. followed by Ed's annual cookout at the church. The burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Crouse Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
