Clarence "Pete" Winters Jr., 94, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013. A native of Lycoming County, Pa., he was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Pete Winters Sr. and Catherine Campbell Winters. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Beatrice Beahm Winters; son, Tom Winters and his brother, Ammon Winters.
A masonic memorial service will be Friday at 7 p.m. at Sam Davis Masonic Lodge No. 661 in Smyrna. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until the service at the lodge.
Mr. Winters is survived by his wife, Evelyn Duncan Winters of Murfreesboro; son, Raymond Winters and his wife Karen of State College, Pa.; and two sisters, Ruth May James of Williamsport, Pa., and Betty Jane Farley of Elimsport, Pa.
Mr. Winters was a retired U.S. Air Force Veteran. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the European Theatre as a wing gunner in a B-24 Liberator. He also served in Korean War. He was a member of the teamsters and a member of Sam Davis Masonic Lodge No. 661.
