Maxine B. Ream, 85, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013 at the Jersey Shore Hospital.
She was born January 18, 1928, in Jersey Shore, the daughter of Ralph and Alma (Page) Feerrar.
Maxine married her high school sweetheart William Ream in 1947, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2004.
She graduated from Jersey Shore High School in 1945.
Maxine was a member of the Salladasburg United Methodist Church.
She retired from the Salladasburg Elementary School where she was a server in the cafeteria since it opened in 1967.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah McCracken and Pamela Litzelman; a son, Daniel Ream; six grandchildren, Rolan Litzelman, Cori Reynolds, Matthew Collins, Alexa Ream, Alec Ream and Gracie Ream; and five great-grandchildren, Andrew Collins, Madelyn Collins, Kirstin Reynolds, Michael Reynolds and Peyton Litzelman.
Family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the Salladasburg United Methodist Church, 366 Main St., Salladasburg, PA 17740.
Relatives and friends are invited to Maxine's Life Celebration Memorial Service at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at the Salladasburg United Methodist Church with Rev. Kevin Brophy officiating. Burial will be in the Jersey Shore Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, Ltd. "A Life Celebration Home" 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore.
