In separate cases brought before District Judge Gary A. Whiteman, two people pleaded guilty to summary offenses after state police agreed to drop more serious offenses.
Tinamarie May Wheeler, 49, of 2075 Sheridan St., pleaded guilty to harassment and made arrangement to pay $440 in fines and court costs. The charge stemmed from a domestic disturbance with her boyfriend, Robert Rodgers, at the couple's home on July 26.
In the other case, Donald Kenneth Wright, 50, of 258 Kuhns Road in Upper Fairfield Township, also made arrangements to pay $440 in fines and court costs after pleading to harassment.
The charge stems from Wright assaulting his father and neighbor, Kenneth Oscar Wright, by punching him several times in the head and face during dispute on Kuhns Road on July 19.
In a third case, this one handled by District Judge Jerry C. Lepley, William Hammond Miller, 56, of 100 Front St. in Linden, pleaded guilty to harassment after state police withdrew charges of aggravated and simple assault.
The charges stemmed from Miller punching another man, Robert Scott Nicholas, on Front Street about 1 a.m. on July 17, police said. The victim was treated at Williamsport Regional Medical Center for a broken nose and two fractures in his face.
Miller made arrangements to pay $300 in fines plus court costs.
