Frances Mary Bongiovi Noviello, 91, of South Williamsport, passed away on Aug. 17, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born March 11, 1922, in Williamsport, the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Genoeffa Carlino Bongiovi.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Frank Sr. (1976) after 33 years of marriage; a sister Ida Marino (Nick) and a brother Caruso Bongiovi killed in World War II.
She is survived by four sons, Frank Jr. (Judy) of Blue Bell, Pa, James (Debra), Lee (Pauline), and Stephen (Debra) of South Williamsport and twin daughters, Antoinette (James) Pysher and Rose (John) Czap of Loyalsock. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and seven great-step-grandchildren.
She was a 1940 graduate of Williamsport High School. She was a lifelong member of Mater Delorosa Church (now St. Joseph the Worker). She was a member of the Christian Women's Society. She was a stay-at-home mother until 1969 when she became employed by Stroehmann's Cake Plant and retired in 1987 after 18 years.
Her hobbies included baking for her family and friends and she also enjoyed doing word search puzzles. In 2006, she began making rosaries to donate to the missions and various organizations and has made over 18,650. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial wll be celebrated at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 1220 Northway Road, Williamsport, on Tuesday Aug. 20, 2013, at 10:30 am. There will be no visitation and burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
The family will provide the flowers. Memorial contributions can be made to the Susquehanna Health Home Care and Hospice, c/o Susquehanna Health Foundation, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, Pa., or to the Rosary Ministry at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 1220 Northway Road, Williamsport, Pa.
