LEWISBURG - The sixth annual Fall Senior Health and Lifestyle Expo will be held Sept. 17 at the Silver Moon Banquet Hall. The expo will feature several free seminars of interest to seniors.
A presentation by Scheib Law Offices will address issues that are of interest in the areas of wills, trusts, estate planning and more.
Dr. Victor Vogel, M.D., M.H.S., F.A.C.P. and director of breast medical oncology/research at Geisinger Cancer Center will present a seminar called New Treatments for Breast Cancer. Vogel is a nationally recognized authority on the subject and the author of numerous papers and books on the subject.
Geisinger is a major participant in the expos. Geisinger Health System has been involved in all 26 Senior Health and Lifestyle Expos and will have a presentation to be announced.
Thousands of seniors and boomers have enjoyed the information and excitement of meeting face to face with the representatives of the leading companies that exhibit at the expo over the years.
All fields of interest to visitors are represented from hospitals, pharmacies, insurance, assisted care facilities, retirement communities, home improvement, chiropractic, health improvement and other disciplines.
Miss Pennsylvania has been a guest hostess at the expo more than six years. This year during the expo she will compete for the coveted title of Miss America. The contest that has moved from Las Vegas to Atlantic City during September.
Her runner-up will be on hand to sign autographs and to meet and greet visitors in Lewisburg.
Miss Pennsylvania 2013, Annie Roselinni, will appear at the next fall expo being held in Bloomsburg on Oct. 22.
Flu shots will be available to all visitors who bring proof of insurance. Most exhibitors will have drawings for prizes at their booths. A $100 cash prize will be drawn at 1 p.m. and all visitors will automatically be entered. Those entered must be present to win.
