Lycoming County United Way received a $1,000 donation on Aug. 14. The check was presented to Carolyn Hawk, United Way director of funding and community relations, by Dr. Jenifer DeWald, Dr. Brandon Fiedler and Kristen Nau, practice representative.
"We support Lycoming County United Way so that we don't have to choose between helping children, seniors, or people in crisis," said DeWald. "With one contribution to United Way, we can help fund more than 40 local human service programs and reach all of those populations. Under the careful scrutiny of community volunteers, a network of human service programs are funded based on the actual community needs and the programs' proven outcomes. We trust United Way to be a good steward of our donation and we are especially pleased that 97 percent of funds raised stay right here in Lycoming County.
DeWald Chiropractic, located at 1355 Four Mile Drive, Loyalsock Township, is proud to be a supporter of the United Way. DeWald and Fiedler, volunteered their services from April through June, providing new patients with an initial visit for a donation of $25 to the United Way.
"Our office really enjoys giving something back. We loved having this opportunity to give our time and talents to people in exchange for a donation that will help people right here in our community," said DeWald.
During the month August, DeWald Chiropractic will sponsor a fundraiser to benefit Kids Peace Foundation. For a donation of $25, all new patients will receive a complete health history, chiropractic examination and a report of the findings.
DeWald and Fiedler encourage people to take advantage of this offer and call DeWald Chiropractic at 322-1776 to make an appointment, or visit www.dewaldchiro practic.com for more information. DeWald Chiropractic also is on Facebook at facebook.com/dewald chiropractic.
