Dorothy M. Schively, 95, of Jersey Shore, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 1, 1917, in Rauchtown, the daughter of Orie and Edith Reading.
Dorothy was the wife of the late Glenn C. Schively with whom she shared 64 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2011.
She loved to cook and bake. Dorothy made quilts for all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
For many years she drove school bus for her father, Orie H. Reading, in the Jersey Shore School district.
Surviving are two daughters, Janet M. (Tom) Eck of Oval and Nettie J. (Nate) Smith, of Rauchtown; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Jane Martin, of Rauchtown; and a brother, Jack Reading of Oldsmar, Fla.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Charles and Paul Reading and a sister, Jeannette Heggenstaller.

Relatives and friends are invited to Dorothy's Life Celebration service, noon Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, Ltd. "A Life Celebration Home," 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, with Rev. Dr. Kerry Aucker officiating. A visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon. Burial will be in Oval Cemetery.
