WELLSBORO?- The Grand Canyon Photography Club will present "Foto Fun at the Rodeo," by Sharon Connelly of Liberty at the Sept. 10 meeting. The program will begin at 7 p.m. at the Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center located on 134 Main St.
This program will focus on taking fun action shots at a rodeo.
In the late '80s Sharon Connelly worked as a photographer at several resorts in the Poconos. She put her photography aside to return to school and become a Licensed Animal Health Technician. Connelly has always loved horses and other animals. She also loved photographing them as well. Several years ago, Connelly once again picked up her camera when she realized she was going to lose her old beloved horse.

"I started shooting again, mostly for memories. Then came the digital camera and I was off. It has become a real passion for me to make more than pictures on my wall," explained Connelly.
In addition to her day job as an Animal Health Technician, Connelly photographs horses, other farm animals, and pets, as a business. She enjoys manipulating and trying new treatments for photographs. She also loves digital editing along with digital painting, as the owner of ConnellyLand Photography and ConnollyLand Graphics.
She is a member of the Equine Photographers Network and has galleries at Better Photo and Smug Mug. She has won prizes in several competitions, including The Equine Photographers Network, www.PhotographyCorner.com, the Lycoming County and Tioga County Fairs. Sharon has also won a Peoples' Choice at the GCPC exhibit. Visit her website at connollyland.com.
