Earl L. Kleese, 70, of Williamsport, died Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, at home.
Born Aug. 22, 1943, in Williamsport, he was a son of Donald R. and Helen (Mulberger) Kleese.
Earl was a U.S. Navy veteran and worked at Brodart for 40 years. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed reading, gardening and watching sports. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, the former Bonnie Lorson; a son, Jason C. (Lisa) Kleese of Montoursville; four grandchildren, Cheyenne, Cameron, Tori, and Noah; two brothers, Donald Kleese, of Montoursville and William Kleese, of Tuscon, Ariz.; three sisters, H. Sue Fluke and Sharon Wheelend, both of Montoursville, and Donna O'Connell, of Williamsport; and his two new best friends, Walter and Sebastian.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Valerie Kleese, in 2006.
A funeral service will be held 7 p.m. Thursday at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport, with military honors accorded by the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County. A viewing will be held Thursday from 6 p.m. until time of service at Knight-Confer. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Earl's life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at 929 Dunkleberger Road, Williamsport.
