Dorothy "Dottie" B. Fry, 80, of Montoursville passed away Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 13, 1932, in South Williamsport, the daughter of Julius Augustus and Verna (Lamade) Beck.
Dorothy was the wife of the late Raymond E. Fry Jr. who passed in 1997.
She was a retired school teacher from Stevens Junior High School.
Dorothy was a devoted wife and mother for many years and enjoyed making dreams happen for her husband, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed swimming, fishing, shopping and connecting with friends and family. She also thoroughly enjoyed spending time at "Kingfisher Camp," her home for several years, along the Loyalsock Creek.
She is survived by a son, James Augustus Fry, of Jersey Shore; two daughters, Verna (John) McBride, of Leesburg, Va., and Dorothy "Jeanne" Fry, of Windsor, Conn.; two grandchildren, Rebecka D. Fry and Andrew James Augustus Fry; and a sister, Martha Jean Kennard.
She was predeceased by two brothers, John Beck and Robert Beck.
A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, in Wildwood Cemetery with Rev. Donald Harbaugh officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by the James C. Maneval Funeral Home, Ltd., "A Life Celebration Home," 500 W. Fourth St., Williamsport.
