Jane B. (Bollinger) Probst, 78, of Williamsport, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at her residence.
She was born in Lock Haven on March 27, 1935, and was the daughter of the late Herbert A. and Pearl (Henderson) Bollinger.
Jane married Clyde L. Probst on June 8, 1957, who survives, and they celebrated 56 years of marriage together.
Jane was a 1953 graduate of Lock Haven High School and then went on to graduate from Lock Haven University in 1957. She worked for Lock Haven school district as an elementary teacher for 14 years. After her career as a teacher Jane went on to be a telephone operator for Divine Providence Hospital, Williamsport.
Jane was a member of Wings of Love Community Church, South Williamsport. She was an avid reader, a member of the Loyalsock High School Band Boosters, the Loyalsock PTA, and enjoyed helping others learn the art of bowling as an instructor at Faxon Lanes, Williamsport.
Jane is survived by her husband; one son and daughter-in-law, M. Christopher and Brenda Probst, of Lock Haven; one daughter and son-in-law, Michella and Brandon Lane, of Lake Jackson, Texas; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by one son, Marc Probst; and one daughter, Melissa Probst.
A public viewing will be held 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, at Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall, PA 17751, followed by the funeral at 8 p.m. with Pastor John Butler of Wings of Love Community Church, South Williamsport, officiating. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
