Florence M. "Flossie" Hetler, 94, of Montoursville, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at Valley View.
Born Dec. 6, 1918, in Jersey Shore, she was a daughter of the late Clyde S. and Ruth M. Bedford Walters. Her husband of 69 years, James Lawrence Hetler, preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 2013.
Flossie was a graduate of Montoursville Area High School, Class of 1936 and the former Dickinson Seminary, Class of 1937. She retired in 1973 as treasurer for the Borough of Montoursville. Flossie was a member of the Fairfield United Methodist Church and enjoyed Bible studies, ice skating, bowling, square dancing and crafts.

Surviving are a son, James A. (Carol) Hetler of Montoursville; a daughter, Sandra L. (Richard) Johnson of Greenville, Wis.; three grandchildren, Jonathan Hetler, Brad (Julie) Johnson and Jennifer (John) Hartley; and five great-grandchildren, Annie, Emalie, Sophia, Lucie and Reuben.
In addition to her parents and husband, Flossie was preceded in death by a brother, John Walters.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Fairfield United Methodist Church, 833 Fairfield Church Road, Montoursville, with the Rev. David Trostle officiating. A private family burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Directions to Fairfield United Methodist Church: from I-180, get off the Fairfield Exit and head towards Montoursville, turn left on Brushy Ridge Road, turn right on Fairfield Church Road, proceed about one half mile, church will be on the left.
