Robert E. Laudig Sr., 90, of 1119 Broad St., Montoursville, died at his residence on Sept. 24, 2013.
He was born April 13, 1923, in Montoursville, the son of Edward M. and Myrna L. Winner Laudig.
Robert was a veteran of World War II having served in the Army Air Force and retired as owner of Robert E. Laudig Excavating, Concrete & Septic. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, a life member of Eugene Grafius American Legion Post No. 104, a 50 year member of both Eureka Lodge No. 335 F & AM and the Williamsport Consistory, a life member of the Wheel Inn and the Montoursville Fire Company, a member of the Young Mens Republican Club and past director of the PA Motor Truck Association. He also enjoyed his automobiles.

Surviving is his wife, the former Virginia E. Lebo, with whom he celebrated 66 years of marriage; a son, Robert E. Laudig Jr., of Montoursville; a daughter, Lynda L. (Marc) Billett, of Latrobe; a brother, Paul W. Laudig, of Montoursville; four grandchildren, Michele Laudig, John (Yasemin) Laudig, Suzanne (Robert) Rosnowski, and Jennifer (Colin) Webster; and three great-grandchildren, Alexander, Kate, and Jasmin.
A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 28, at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery with military honors being accorded by the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County. Friends may call the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 27.
