It is always the question when it comes to the city police. Why don't they do their job?
Why can't they take action on complaints?
Why can't they arrest someone breaking the law when caught on video?
Etc., etc., etc. The question goes on and on, with the same answer. They can't do anything unless they catch them in the act! This sounds to me as a long time resident and taxpayer in this city to cut crime, we need a police officer on every block.
I for one can't afford more taxes. Neighbor watch groups were organized to be eyes and ears for the police, but that won't work because of the way the law is. I'm sure everyone is tired of all the excuses like myself.
We all need to get together as a city and community and contact elected officials, starting with city council members, the mayor, all the way to Harrisburg.
Everyone I have talked to is tired of hearing excuses. We can get laws changed if we stick together as a community, along wit the backing of the mayor's office and all other elected city officials. We all need to come together and show unity in the community.
