Roads to Freedom fundraiser at Five Below
MUNCY - A fundraising event to benefit Roads to Freedom will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Five Below, at the Lycoming Crossing Plaza.
Ten percent of all purchases made during the event will be donated to Independent Living Services when an event flyer is presented at the register.
Free lacrosse clinic to be held
JERSEY SHORE - The Lycoming County Youth Lacrosse Association will sponsor a free lacrosse clinic from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Gym of Trinity United Methodist Church, 1407 Allegheny St.
The clinic will be for youths age 7 through 14.

"Pedestrian on Wheels" safety event to be held
The "Pedestrian on Wheels" safety event will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 2 at the Center for Independent Living, 24 E. Third St.
The event will feature demonstrations and safety information in a bingo format to educate power chair uses on safety. Light refreshments, safety items and door prizes will be offered.
Participation is free. Those interested are asked to register at the Center for Independent Living by calling 327-9070.

Country Terrace Personal Care to hold open house
WELLSBORO - Country Terrace Personal Care will hold an open house from 3 to 6 p.m. Oct. 3 at its facility at 1919 Shumway Hill Road to commemorate its 20th Anniversary.
Facility tours will be offered during the event, featuring model rooms and the opportunity to meet with residents and staff.
Heritage Society to hold 32nd Heritage Days
TURBOTVILLE - The Warrior Run Fort Freeland Heritage Society will hold its 32nd annual Heritage Days from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 5 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 6, at 246 Warrior Run Blvd behind the Warrior Run High School Complex.
The event will feature hundreds of period costumed crafters, tradesmen and demonstrators explaining the skills used in central Pa. daily life from 1770 to 1870. There will also be wagon rides, music, crafts and foods prepared on open hearths and antique cook stoves. The Battle of Fort Freeland will be reenacted.
There will be an admission fee.
Octoberfest to be held in Jersey Shore
JERSEY SHORE - The 2nd annual Octoberfest will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 5 at Gazebo Park, S. Main St.
The event will feature craft and food vendors, a hay ride, a hot dog eating contest, chinese auction, 50/50 drawings and children's events. Fair Play Brass will play music and the YMCA will host a pumpkin carving contest. Jersey Shore Culinary Arts will be serving food.

Autumn Fest at Woodridge Farm
The first Autumn Fest will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 5 at Woodridge Farm, 545 Biddle Rd.
The event will feature food, games, music, hayrides, pumpkin painting and other children's activities. There will be free equine demonstrations on braiding, tack cleaning, show prep, farrier, equine massage, and more.
There will be a used tack sale, silent auction and country style living vendors. Proceeds will benefit "I Ride 4 Life" at Woodridge Farm in affiliation with "Partners to a Promise," a program designed to offer horse experience to youth going through hardships, at-risk youth and low income families.
