Mystic Garden Floral Studio provides flower arrangements for 50 to 100 weddings a year, catering to as many as five brides in a weekend. For the past five years, the business has entered Florist Review's Picture Perfect Wedding contest. Photos from some of the submissions have been showcased in Florist Review, but never before featured ... until this year.
"This (article) gives me a better rapport with vendors and other florists," said owner Kelli Stiber, who also said that wholesalers provide her with better quality products due to the possibility of their products being showcased in Florist Review.
This season's issue features a two-page spread of photos from a fall wedding Mystic Garden Floral Studio provided flowers, featuring a rose pomander, boutoniere with a composite calla lily, a miniature calla bridal bouquet, decorated pumpkin centerpieces and a cake with a freehand design by Stiber.

"We limit the amount of weddings we take on because we're trying to produce quality products, not quantity," Stiber said.
Arrangements can include feathers or jewels, hang from shepherds' hooks, attach to arches or be placed in rental items such as floor and table centerpieces.
"All of my weddings are guaranteed to have freshest nicest flowers," Stiber said. "If the flowers are not up to my specification, even if it's the day before a wedding, I will have the flowers sent back and overnighted." She won't even use a flower that's been dropped or bruised in her arrangements.
"That's what sets me apart from other florists in the area," Stiber said.
Stiber said she enjoys working most with bright colors such as lime green, hot pink and burnt orange and her favorite flower to work with is dyed blue orchids, but she loves "anything that pops off a bride's white wedding dress."
"Anything they (brides) can think of, we can make," Stiber said. "We like a challenge, anything that makes us think and come up with things outside the box. Give me a candelabra and say you don't want candles in them."
Mystic Garden Floral Studio not only works with brides on customizing flowers for their weddings but they also work with their budgets. If a bride doesn't like the estimate at the end of the consultation, the floral studio will work with her to meet her budget.
