Have you ever had a sports injury? This past summer I was at a gymnastics camp and fell and broke my left wrist. When I broke my wrist it hurt super bad.
Soon after the accident my mom took me to the hospital to get my wrist casted. The doctor gave me lots of instructions on how to care for my wrist.
Then the doctor said that I will have my cast on for six grueling weeks and wont be able to play sports for the time being. I was heartbroken when the doctor said absolutely no soccer. What six weeks? Something I was truly looking forward to all summer long and have that dream shattered.
I excepted this fact, not willingly, mind you, and moved on.
On a brighter note of a cast it was tie dyed and waterproof. Thank goodness I could get showers, go swimming and enjoy other fun summer activities.
With my cast now removed I am currently participating in soccer practices but still no games because my doctor doesn't want any further damage to my wrist.
My coach asked me what position I wanted to play for the remainder of the season and I said offense. Now I am slowly getting back into the swing of using my bad wrist finally.
Well until next time!
