June L. Cochran, 90, of Montoursville, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at her daughter's home. She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Donald L. Cochran who died June 9, 2000.
Born Feb. 10, 1923, in Weigh Scales, (Shamokin) Pa., she was the daughter of the late Ray W. and Sue E. (Burket) Savidge.
June was a graduate of the Moody Bible Institute of Chicago, Ill. She was employed at Williamsport Regional Medical Center in the dietary department where she worked for 15 years. June attended Community Baptist Church, Montoursville, and was a devout Christian and Prayer Warrior. She enjoyed crocheting and was known for her excellent baking abilities. June enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her son, D. Keith (Ann) Cochran, of Montoursville; two daughters, Sheila J. (Dennis) Morgan, of Merrillville, Ind., and Constance J. (Skip) Yeagle, of Montoursville; a brother, Marlin Savidge of Noblesville, Ind.; two sisters, Suellah Savidge, of Upland, Ind., and Sharon (John) Metzger, of Matthews, N.C.; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Community Baptist Church, 1853 PA 87, Montoursville, with the Rev. Michael Wright and Rev. Marlin Savidge officiating. Interment will be in Montoursville Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
