Two inmates at the Lycoming County Prison pre-release center on Country Farm Road fled the facility in Loyalsock Township about 8:15 p.m. Sunday, according to Chief County Detective William Weber.
The search continued Monday night for Jarrett David Houser, 38, of 2411 Lycoming Creek Road, and Christony Victor Pettit, 24, of 400 Glenwood Ave., both of whom bolted out a door, tripping an alarm, Weber said.
"Both inmates were serving a 6-month prison sentence at the pre-release center on domestic relations warrants for failure to pay child support," Weber said.
Anyone who has any information about their whereabouts should call 911, Weber said.
Houser was described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds with blond or strawberry collar-length hair. Pettit is 6 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 175 pounds with short black hair.
When captured, both men will face a charge of escape, Weber said.
County detectives, sheriff deputies, state police, along with a police dog from the Watsontown area, searched for the two until 3 a.m. Monday, Weber said.
