William E. Robinson Jr., of Linden, completed his earthly life's journey in a beautiful full circle when he entered heaven's gate on his 92nd birthday, Tuesday Oct. 1, 2013.
He and his wife, Mona Gohl Robinson, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary earlier this year. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. He was a life long farmer and retired from Avco Lycoming in 1982. He was a member of the Mountain View Alliance Church of Jersey Shore and a member of Giddeons International distributing Bibles around the world.
Surviving besides his wife Mona are two sons, William L. Robinson and Jeffrey K. Robinson (Lorri) and a daughter, Kathy Robinson Clark (Gary), all of Linden. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William E. Robinson Sr. and Jeannette Bastian Robinson; four sisters, Eleanor Corson, Betty Paulhamus, Edith Robinson and Claire DeWald and one brother, Rev. Charles Robinson. He was also predeceased by his granddaughter, Becky Robinson.
Bill's Life Celebration will be held on Friday Oct. 4, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Mountain View Alliance Church, 1515 Cemetery St., Jersey Shore, with his pastor, Rev. Robert N. Grimes officiating. Friends and relatives may call at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday. Interment will be in Jersey Shore cemetery at his family's convenience.
