Local roundup: Sock hands Bloom tennis 1st loss

Sarah Malone won a 2 1/2-hour, three-set match at No. 3 singles for Loyalsock, as the Lancers handed Bloomsburg its first loss of the season, 3-2, on Wednesday in girls tennis. Loyalsock swept all three singles matches with Pam Niditch winning, 6-0, 6-2, and Kim Levy winning, 6-1, 6-1. Malone won the opening set, 6-2, before dropping the second set, 4-6. She rebounded with a 6-4, third-set win to win the match.
