Dr. Thomas Walker Flanagan, of 329 South Maynard Street, South Williamsport, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2013, in the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Wilkes-Barre on April 18, 1926, the son of Walker Flanagan and Carole Ann Johnson.
Thomas was a dentist and a graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry. He was a member of Love Unlimited Ministries, and the American Dental Association. He was on the board of Love Unlimited as a Trustee and a board member of CAPPA. Thomas was a U.S. Navy Veteran.
He is survived by his wife the former Ida Bernice Ross; his children Ida Bernice Edwards of Williamsport, Karen Mae Washington of Ruther Glen,Va.; grandchildren Anthony Montgomery, Harvey Edwards III, Adam Edwards, Jason Edwards, Dwayne Washington and Whitney Washington; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Flanagan Montgomery; by a brother, Wilbur Flanagan; and sister Doris King.
Funeral services will be at Love Unlimited Ministries at 420 Elmira St., Williamsport, on Tuesday Oct. 8, 2013, at 11 a.m. Pastor Willie E. Anderson will officiate. There will be a private family viewing on Monday. Burial will be in Twin Hills Memorial Park Muncy.
