Beverly M. Rider, 78, of Muncy died Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at ManorCare South, Williamsport. She was born April 26, 1935, in Muncy Township, a daughter of the late Roy C. and Vera R. (Robbins) Babb. July 19, 1952, she married Harold O. Rider, who survives.
She was a faithful member of Moreland Baptist Church where she had been active through the years in many ways including the hospitality committee, Bible School, Sunday School teacher, with the bulletins and newsletters, and served as a deaconess. She attended Hughesville High School. Beverly had worked at the former Relda Apparel, Glamorize, Weldons, Carey-McFall, Montgomery Mills, Frito-Lay and on the family farm from 1956-1990.
Beverly was a member of the Susquehanna Quilt Guild, the Canusarago Grange #27 and Women of the Moose #2222, Muncy. She loved reading books on the Amish, genealogy, gardening, crocheting, attending the Bloomsburg Fair and Benton Rodeo and her dog, Mickey.
In addition to her husband of 61 years, she is survived by two sons, Rick (Rosalie Worthington) Rider, Unityville and Ronald (Marti) Rider, Muncy; three daughters, Janet (Richard) Barto, Muncy, Sandra (William) Fulmer, Unityville and Cindy (Matthew) Roedts, Muncy; nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Fenstermaker, Hughesville and a half-sister, Susan McGraw, Hughesville.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, in the Moreland Baptist Church, 118 Moreland Baptist Road, Muncy by the Rev. Robert Ingraham. The interment will be in the Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
