Martha S. Larson, 87, died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
Born March 25, 1926, in Danville, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Lynn) Hendricks.
Martha was a graduate of South Williamsport High School. She was employed as a supervisor for over 15 years with the former Bell Telephone. Martha was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, knitting, and crossword puzzles.
Surviving are three sons, Paul Michael (Dianne) of DuBoistown, Gary (Karen) of Mineral, Va., and Mark (Deborah) Larson of Montoursville; two daughters, Anne (Larry) Pearson of Downingtown, and Pamela (Charles) Rishel of South Williamsport; 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law Mary Ann Larson of South Williamsport; and a brother-in-law Charles McCartney of Middleburg, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, David S. Larson in 2004, a daughter Linda Jean Larson, a brother Paul Hendricks, and three sisters, Grace Stetler, Marion Buzzard, and Mildred McCartney.
A funeral service will be held Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Avenue. Interment will be in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy. Visitation will be Monday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Martha's name to the Larson Scholarship Fund, 814 W. Southern Avenue, South Williamsport, PA 17702.
