Sacred music presentation
Tenor Ryan Workman will be joined by the St. Joseph the Worker Parish Choir, special guests Paul and Michelle Mach, soprano Danielle Byrne and Jeff Johnson on the piano and organ for an evening of sacred and spiritual music at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 702 W. Fourth St., at 7 p.m.
Faith Alliance Church, 2405 Bottle Run Road, is holding a missions conference featuring guest speaker Jean Burkhart, an international worker to Indonesia. A covered-dish dinner at 5 p.m. in the fellowship hall begins things Saturday while Sunday's service times are 9 a.m. (Sunday school), 10:30 a.m. (morning worship) and 6:30 p.m. (AWANA kid's club and youth group). Puppet ministry in action
Pine Street United Methodist Church, 441 Pine St., will present "Donkey Tales," the puppet ministry of Kingdom Kidz, owned by Tex Arkana, at 10:30 a.m. Tales will be narrated and accompanied by Ranch Hand Band (with country western swing, Bluegrass, etc).
Tent revival meeting set
SONESTOWN - The Methodist churches of Muncy Valley in Sullivan County will hold a tent revival service as part of the Sonestown Heritage Festival. The Greenwood Valley Boys will play bluegrass gospel as part of the service, which begins at 10 a.m. at the Sonestown ball field. The service will be led by Pastor Craig Livermore, a 1987 graduate of Williamsport Area High School.
Regular worship schedule resumes
Newberry Church of Christ, 2101 Linn St., now is meeting on its new sanctuary and has resumed its regular worship schedule with traditional worship at 8 a.m. and a contemporary service at 10:30 a.m.
Original Couriers to perform

Chris Pick in concert
Singer-songwriter Chris Pick will perform at Newberry Church of Christ, 2101 Linn St., from 6-7:30 p.m. A free-will offering will be taken to defray the cost of a new sound system.
Lecture series continues
The fall lecture series at Holy Cross Orthodox Church, 1725 Holy Cross Lane in Loyalsock Township, off Northway Road, continues at 7 p.m. with a challenging presentation titled "From Science to Faith" by the Rev. Victor Gorodenchuk, a Soviet-trained physicist who discovered and embraced Christianity. Issues to be addressed include evolution, the Big Bang and Biblical criticism. Lectures are held in the church sanctuary. A free-will offering will be received. The Holy Cross Auxiliary will host a fellowship hour following the presentation. Missions worker to speak
TIVOLI - Susana Falck, of Muncy, who does missions work in her native Ecuador, will speak to the Christian Ladies Group at Tivoli United Methodist Chuch, 2 miles north of Picture Rocks along Route 220, at 1 p.m.
Fairfield United Methodist Church, 833 Fairfield Church Road in Montoursville, will hold a huge basement sale featuring free summer clothing from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Lunch and baked goods also available.
Country fare brunch registration deadline
Registration deadline for the Christian Women's Club of Williamsport annual country fare brunch at Community Baptist Church, 1853 Route 87 north of Montoursville, is today. The event, featuring soloist Jeanne Bereznicki, will be held from 9-11 a.m. Oct. 24. Cost is $12. 5K run/walk scheduled

Smorgasbord dinner set
UNITYVILLE - St. John's Lutheran Church, 68 Gordner Church Road, will hold a smorgasbord dinner starting at 4 p.m. Featured are all-you-can-eat turkey, ham and roast beef. Cost is $9 for adults, $4 for children 6-12 and free for those under 5.
'Dip' meal scheduled
ELIMSPORT - Elimsport United Methodist Church, 16145 S. Route 44, will hold an old fashioned dip meal from 4-6:30 p.m. featuring a choice of roast turkey or baked ham and/or a hamburg barbecue sandwich, as well as delicious homemade desserts. A dip of meat or main dish is $2.50, along with $.75 dips of your favorite hot and cold sides. Takeouts are available.
MAINESBURG - Mainesburg United Methodist Church, 100 Smith Park Road, will hold a harvest buffet featuring turkey and roast beef from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Also, a bake and craft table will be available. Proceeds will benefit Goodies for our Troops and the church.
MUNCY - Moreland Baptist Church, 118 Moreland Baptist Road, will hold it's annual homecoming service at 10:30 a.m. with guest speaker David Klock, a former youth pastor and presently an associate pastor at Bethlehem Baptist Church. The Second Chance Band will provide special music. A meal will follow with the church providing meat/buns etc. Attendees should bring their favorite tureen to share.
LIBERTY - Friedens Lutheran Church, 741 Brick Church Road, will hold its annual homecoming service at 11 a.m. A dinner will follow. The church's origins date to 1871.
