Bonita L. Crossley, 95, of Laporte and formerly of Williamsport, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, at the Muncy Valley Hospital.
She was born July 13, 1918, in Williamsport, the daughter of Justus and Bessie (Paulin) Smith.
Bonita was the wife of the late Carl Robert Crossley (Pip) who passed in 1996.
She was a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church and the Women's Club.
Bonita retired in 1980 from L. L. Stearns, where she was a sales clerk.
Bonita was predeceased by a brother, Carl Smith and two sisters, Carolyn Durrwachter and Emily Thomas.
She is survived by one niece and several nephews who always called her "Bee" and whom she always called "her kids". In order by age, they are Bill Durrwachter, Dave Durrwachter, Lynn Philpott, Jim Thomas and Bob Thomas.
All that knew Bonita agree that she had a wonderful sense of humor, loved people and never turned down an opportunity to play cards or sit and chat.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
