Mr. and Mrs. Richard Montis, of Montoursville, observed their 60th wedding anniversary Oct. 11, 2013.
They were married by the Rev. McHugh at Holy Rosary Church, Hilmar, Calif.
Mrs. Montis, the former Alice B. DeSalles, is a native of Cressey, Calif. She is the daughter of the late Anna and Frank DeSalles. She graduated from Hilmar High School, Hilmar, in 1946. She retired in 1982 from Alice's Gourmet Kitchen as owner and cooking school instructor.
Mr. Montis, a native of Pataskala, Ohio, is the son of the late Margaret and Donald Montis. He graduated from Pataskala High School, Pataskala, in 1947 and served in the Navy during the Korean War from 1950 to 1954. He is employed by Litton Industries, Montoursville, as a production manager.
They are the parents of two daughters, Deborah Slothus, of Williamsport, and Deanna Golden, of Cave Creek, Ariz., and three sons, John, of Burnham, and Donald and David, both of Williamsport.
There are 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In honor of their anniversary, a dinner celebration was held at the couple's home.
