United Churches Wednesday noon ecumenical lunches are held each week of the school year at Pine Street United Methodist Church, 441 Pine St. Next Wednesday, the Rev. Cannon Andy France, chaplain with the Lycoming County Prison and Archdeacon Emeritus, Episcopal Diocese of Central Pennsylvania, will be the speaker. He will discuss the heroin problems in our community that we need to address, sharing some insights from his personal story. A serving of a catered $6 lunch begins at 11:45 a.m. in the church fellowship hall. Free parking is available in the lot north of the church. Although reservations are not needed, those not regular attendees should call United Churches at 322-1110 to help the caterer know how many to prepare for.
