The annual Lycoming County Life Chain again proved to be a huge success with more than 1,000 participants lining both sides of the Golden Strip — East Third Street — in Loyalsock Township on Oct. 6. It marked the 22nd year the event has taken place on the first Sunday of October. One would imagine most people traveling by would know what was going on, but oddly enough a young student attending a local high school was intrigued enough to stop and find out what it was all about. The Lycoming County Life Chain is sponsored by the local pro-life chapter: The Susquehanna Valley Chapter of Pennsylvanians for Human Life which has been in existence since the Roe v. Wade decision in the early 1970s. Visit www.pavalleyprolife.org to learn more about the organization and what it does.
