Ethel Persing Klett, 98, of 400 Lycoming St., Williamsport, died Oct. 23, 2013, at the Valley View Nursing Center, Montoursville.
She was born Aug. 2, 1915, in Mt. Carmel, the daughter of the late Frederick and Eliza Evans Persing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Winfield Klett, on Aug. 5, 1971.
Ethel was a member of Covenant-Central Presbyterian Church, Williamsport. She enjoyed board games, reading and card playing.
Ethel was a graduate of the Mt. Carmel High School and graduated from the Thompson Business Institute.
She is survived her two daughters, Barbara (Bill) Gray, of Cogan Station and Kathleen K. (Dr. Frank) Ryan, of Camp Hill; one sister, Catherine Strine, of Shamokin; seven grandchildren, Gary, Andrew, Michael and Daniel Gray, Jason and Matthew Kriner and Mackenzie Ryan; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lynn and Benjamin Persing and one sister, Grace York.
Services will be held Saturday Oct. 26, 2013, at 1 p.m. in the Kaufman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2102 Northway Road, Williamsport, PA 17701, officiated by Rev. Judy Stanely. Interment will be at Williamsport Cemetery, Williamsport. Visitation will be two hours prior to services.
Memorial contributions may be made to Covenant-Central Presbyterian Church, 807 W. Fourth St., Williamsport.
