Beverly Ann DeFrain, 71, of Wellsboro, passed away at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital on Oct. 31, 2013.
Beverly was the wife of George Howard DeFrain, who predeceased her on Jan. 26, 2008. She was born April 25, 1942, in Wellsboro, the daughter of the late Clifford and Ferne (Erway) McConnell.
She was a CNA, having retired from the Green Home. Beverly was very active with the Tioga County Senior Center. She enjoyed walking and her dogs. She had a passion for butter pecan ice cream.
Beverly is survived by two sons, George DeFrain, of Wellsville; Chris DeFrain and his partner, Dwayne Heisler, of Catawissa; a daughter, Fern and her husband, Gary Hunter, of Morris; four grandchildren, Jennifer Stacknick (Jason), Kayla Goodreau (Ben Lambert), Alissa Goodreau (Matt Martin) and Katie Hunter; great-grandson, Levi; great-granddaughter, Leddie Nichole; sister, Mazie Reynolds, of Wellsboro; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Clair R. Brion and her first husband, John Connor.
Friends and family are invited to Beverly's Life Celebration on Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Ltd., "A Life Celebration Home," 139 Main St., Wellsboro, PA 16901. Funeral to follow at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Eugene Charsky officiating.
