Graydon Eugene Bryan, 72, of Avis, passed away Wednesday Oct. 30, 2013.
He was born Feb. 25, 1941, in Lock Haven, a son of the late Kenneth Graydon and Lois Irene (Heckman) Bryan.
Graydon was the husband of the former Bonnie J. Weaver, with whom he shared 43 years of marriage.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Graydon retired to his cabin in 2004, where he enjoyed a rustic lifestyle after 40 years of working as an electrician.
He enjoyed hunting, target shooting, being outdoors and woodcarving.
Graydon loved family picnics and talking politics.
He was a record keeper of the weather and many other things, even the number Japanese beetles that he removed from the foliage.
Graydon was an avid movie watcher and reader.
He was also a gun enthusiast and attended many gun shows yearly.
Graydon is survived by his wife, Bonnie; two sons, Michael P. (Jennifer) Bryan, of Liberty, S.C. and Aaron G. "Bo" (fiancee, Joanie Hill) Bryan, of Avis; a daughter, Alicia A. "Peach" (Karl Stashak) Wright, of State College; three grandchildren, Miles Bryan, Ivy Bryan and Damien Bryan; a brother, Kenneth "Cork" Bryan, of Mackeyville; a sister, Margaret "Peggy" Barbour, of South Williamsport; and also survived by his beloved cats, Booters and Furble.
He is predeceased by a brother, Terry.
Family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions be made to an animal or wildlife organization of your choice.
Relatives and friends are invited to Graydon's Life Celebration beginning with a visitation Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, from 1 until 3 p.m. at the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, Ltd., "A Life Celebration Home," 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore. A service will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
