PTO to hold fall festival
The South Williamsport Parent Teacher Organization will hold their annual fall festival from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the high school gym.
For the second year in a row, a group of seventh grade students will raise money to help find a cure for breast cancer. They will set up a stand with a game and sell homemade rubber band bracelets.
Holiday cookie workshop
LEWISBURG - Packwood House Museum will hold a holiday cookie baking workshop at 10 a.m. Saturday in the museum's Tour Center at 15 N. Water St.
The class will be taught by Lewisburg High School art teacher Cyndy Shaffer.
It will feature demonstrations of tricks and shortcuts for less holiday stress and more fun when making decorated cookies.
Registration for the event is required and there will be a registration fee.

Bloomsburg Antique Show
BLOOMSBURG - The Bloomsburg Antique Show will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Industrial Arts building at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds.
The event will feature approximately 75 exhibitors selling antiques.

Art sale to be held
A Modern Art against Myeloma art exhibit and sale to support the International Myeloma Foundation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday at DiSalvo's Wine Tasting Room, 341 E. Fourth St.
Pork and sauerkraut buffet to be held
HUGHESVILLE - The Messiah-St. James Lutheran Parish will hold a pork and sauerkraut buffet from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hughesville Fire Hall.
The event also will feature a live auction beginning at 7 p.m.
There will be a fee. Proceeds from the event will benefit causes fighting local and world hunger.
Avis United Methodist Church turkey dinner
AVIS - Avis United Methodist Church will hold its annual turkey dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Saturday, at its location, 215 Prospect Ave.
Tickets will be available at the door for a fee.
Take out will be available.
Contra dancers to hold monthly contra dance
LEWISBURG - The Countryside Contra Dancers will hold their monthly contra dance from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday at the Donald Heiter Community Center, 100 N. Fifth St.
The dance will feature live music by Ryck Kaiser and Jill Smith with Ted Crane calling.
All dances are taught, with basic figures from 7:30 to 8 p.m.
Newcomers of all ages are welcome. Dancers are asked to wear comfortable clothes and soft-soled, non-marking shoes.
There will be a fee for attendees over age 18. Under 16 must be accompanied by a guardian.

Pancake breakfast to be held
The parishoners of Immaculate Conception Church will hold a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday at Immaculate Conception Church (Bastress), 5973 Jacks Hollow Road.
There will be a fee.
Spinners and Weavers Guild to meet
MIFFLINBURG - The November meeting of the Susquehanna Valley Spinners and Weavers Guild will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Masonic Lodge at 361 Chestnut St. Social time begins at 1:30 p.m.
This month's meeting will feature fiber artist Sarah Saulson. The group will hold election of officers and collecting dues for the 2014 year.

Historical Society meeting to be held
The General John Burrows Historical Society of Montoursville will hold their monthly meeting at 2 p.m. Sunday at the GJBHS House, 19 N. Loyalsock Ave.
The speaker for the evening will be Robert Webster, a retired Hughesville High School history teacher. Webster will speak on life in Montoursville during World War II.
Members and guests are invited to attend. Refreshments will follow the meeting.
