Juanita M. Good, 89, of Montoursville, died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at her home.
Born April 12, 1924 in Waco, Texas, she was the daughter of Spencer R. and Myrtle O. (Day) Robinson. She married Morris F. Good on Nov. 10, 1945 and just celebrated 68 years together.
Juanita graduated from Waco High School, class of 1942. She attended Lycoming College where she received her bachelor of arts degree in 1969 and then later obtained her master's degree in education and reading specialty from Bloomsburg University in 1974. Juanita was a teacher and reading specialist for 21 years at various elementary schools in the Williamsport Area School District.
She attended Memorial Baptist Church and was active in the church when she was younger. Juanita believed in God and accepted his son Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a member of the PA SERA, The Salvation Army Auxiliary, and she loved animals.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two children, Dr. Morris S. Good (Debbie) of Richland, Wash., and Terry Lou Hewitt (Bill), of Carver, Mass.; four grandchildren, Morrie Palmer, Melinda, Missy, and Becky; and a brother, Dr. Charles Robinson of, Kimbely City, Mo.
She was predeceased by four sisters, Dorothy Teague, Norma Feltner, Clara Mowery, Patsy Ruth Knight, and a brother Mitchell Robinson.
A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 26 followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street, Williamsport, Pa, with the Rev. Timothy R. Kinney officiating. Burial will be held at Montoursville Cemetery.
