Lois R. Rhinehart, 84, of Jersey Shore, passed away Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, in Wyoming while en route home from visiting her son in Montana.
She was born Sept. 28, 1929, in Williamsport, the daughter of Russell M. and Margaret E. (Robson) Walters.
Lois was the wife of Floyd A. Rhinehart Jr. for 35 years.
She was a life member of the George Pepperman American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Billy O. Brandt V.F.W. Auxiliary, both of Jersey Shore.
She enjoyed gardening and putting puzzles together and loved her family, Betty Boop and her beloved precious pet, Pokey.
Lois is survived by two sons, Russell L. (Judy) Rhinehart, of Billings, Mont., and Kevin J. Rhinehart, of Linden; a daughter-in-law, Claudin Rhinehart, of Phoenix, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Donna L. Rogers of Williamsport.
She was predeceased by three sons, Larry D., Jerry Lee and Gary S. Rhinehart, and also a brother, Eugene L. Walters.
Lois' Life Celebration memorial services will be held from the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, "A Life Celebration Home," 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, on Monday Dec. 2, 2013, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Jersey Shore Cemetery.
