The Lycoming County Water and Sewer Authority approved an agreement with the county to allow $147,593 of Community Development Block Grant funds to help income-eligible homeowners to repair their substandard sewer laterals in DuBoistown.
The impact will be from DuBoistown to the Williamsport Sewer Authority.
The funds are from 2009 and 2010 that were allocated to other projects that never materialized, so the county agreed to allocate them to this project.
The authority signed agreements with the county to award natural gas drilling impact funds to two projects.
DuBoistown Borough Sewer's Valley Street sewer pump station $20,000 improvement project will receive $10,000. This will cover the sewer pump impellar modifications to address pump clogging issues.
Mifflin Manor Sewer System planning and improvements $50,000 project will receive $20,000. This will cover sewer planning initiatives and flow metering and monitoring.
The authority approved a completion extension for the Montoursville Regional Sewer System's lab renovation to be done by Dec. 9, with no change to contract amounts. The original completion date was Oct. 15.
The Henry Dunn Agency will be the authority's new insurance agent for 2014 with a premium rate of $76,853. The agency was chosen out of four agencies as they were priced competitively lower.
