Roger D. Andrews, 77, of Wellsboro, passed away on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013. He was the husband of Joyce Berg, whom he married on Feb. 14, 1961.
Roger was born April 12, 1936 in Sayre, the son of the late Herbert E. and Leona Bryant Andrews. He was a graduate of Wellsboro High School.
Roger was one of the first Eagle Scouts of Middlebury Center. In 1968, Roger founded Andrews Well Drilling, Wellsboro. He was employed at Osram-Sylvania, retiring after 40 years.
Roger attended First Baptist Church, Wellsboro. In addition he was a member of the Wellsboro Moose.
Roger served in the National Guard for 15 years. Surviving are his wife, Joyce of Wellsboro; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Lee Wright, Mansfield, and Karen and Glenn Trowbridge, Middlebury Center; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Marie Andrews, Wellsboro; former son-in-law and business partner, Joe Hastings; four grandchildren, one step-grandson, Kevin Wright, Mackenzie Hastings, Lynsey Hastings, Kendall Hastings and Jacob Trowbridge; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to Roger's Life Celebration on Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, from 6-8 p.m., at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, "A Life Celebration Home," 139 Main Street, Wellsboro.
Funeral Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, 11 a.m., at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Mc Cleary officiating. Burial in Tioga County Memorial Gardens.
