Brenda G. Soules, 65, of Williamsport, died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at The Gatehouse at Divine Providence Hospital.
Born May 3, 1948, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Charles VanHorn and Anna E. (Seidel) Holbrook. Brenda and her husband, Wayne Soules, would have celebrated 13 years of marriage on Dec. 31.
Brenda was a 1966 graduate of Loyalsock Township H.S. She retired from SCI Muncy as a corrections officer after 10 years. She enjoyed her cats and loved animals.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Jessica Huffman, of Williamsport; three sisters, Rose Welshans, of Williamsport, Charlene Foster, of Montoursville, and Deborah Holbrook, of Williamsport; four grandchildren, Ray K. Huffman, Alexa G. Paulhamus, Abigail I. Paulhamus, and Aaron C. Paulhamus; a daughter-in-law, Melissa Paulhamus; and step-daughter, Heather Soules.
Brenda was preceded in death by her first husband, Cuyler M. Paulhamus; son, Brett C. Paulhamus; and step-father, Charles W. Holbrook.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 11 at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport. A private graveside service will be at the convenience of the family.
