Wilda M. Cole, 89, formerly of Chester St., died Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, at Sycamore Manor.
Wilda worked at Sylvania, Wundies and retired from Bailey Controls. She was a member of St. Paul-Calvary United Methodist Church, and its Women's Society. She was a volunteer for the Divine Providence Hospital for more than 20 years.
Wilda was dedicated to her family history and had a deep respect for her ancestors and her roots. She was an avid Baltimore Orioles, New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She spent many hours reading and loved spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed.
Born Feb. 10, 1924, in Lecontes Mills, she was the daughter of Charles C. and Ada Condon Livergood.
Wilda was the youngest of 13 children and was predeceased by ten brothers and one sister.
Surviving are three children, Eleanor C. Mussina, of Montoursville, James M. (RaeOna) Cole, of Blue Springs, Mo., and Elizabeth C. Casale, of Williamsport; brother, John G. Livergood, of Lecontes Mills; grandchildren, Michael C. (Jana) Mussina, Mark A. (Anne) Mussina, Eric J. (Samatha) Cole, Nicole Cole, Jacqueline Ray, and Neil R. Casale; and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at the church, 1427 Memorial Ave., at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Robin L. Baer officiating. Burial will be in Eden Cemetery, Lecontes Mills. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests donations to the James V. Brown Library, 19 E. Fourth St., Williamsport, Pa. 17701.
